Dobb, Payne, Zdimal highlight Berks boys basketball honor roll

MikeDragoSports.com presents an honor roll of the top Berks boys basketball players each week. Coaches are encouraged to nominate their top player for consideration. One player will be selected Player of the Week.

Josh McKoy, Antietam: The 6-2 sophomore had 16 points, four steals, five deflections and two assists in a win over Kutztown and 20 points, four rebounds and five steals in a win over Annville-Cleona.

Ryan Koch, Berks Catholic: The 6-3 junior had a career-best 27 points, with six 3-pointers, against Wilson and 23 points against Nativity as the Saints won three of their four games.

Dylan Miller, Brandywine Heights: The senior guard scored nine points and had five rebounds and three steals against Tulpehocken.

Charlie Dobb, Conrad Weiser: The 6-7 senior scored 18 points in a 64-57 loss to Muhlenberg and 19 points in an 85-52 loss to Reading High.

Colin Payne, Exeter: The senior forward scored 19 points and went 10-for-10 from the free throw line in a 63-56 win over Exeter, and had 28 points in a 76-40 win over Daniel Boone.

Jake Karnish, Fleetwood: The junior guard scored 69 points over three games, including a career-high 30 vs. Schuylkill Valley. He had 17 points against Wilson and 22 against Oley Valley. He was the high scorer in each of the Tigers’ three games last week.

Ruben Rodriguez, Reading High: The Red Knights’ leading scorer had a career-best 35 points in a win at Harrisburg and 20 in a win at Chester.

Bryce Mellen, Tulpehocken: The 6-3 senior scored 32 points as the Trojans recorded wins over Brandywine Heights and Schuylkill Valley to improve to 10-2.

Kannon Zdimal, Twin Valley: The junior forward scored a career-high 25 points in a win over Daniel Boone and 11 points a in loss to Berks Catholic.

Cameron Jones, Wilson: The junior guard scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds in a 51-48 victory over Berks Catholic.
