Section 4 records: Saints 1-1, Scouts 1-1.

Series: Saints lead 3-0.

Last year: Saints won 45-0 as Josiah Jordan ran for 177 yards and two touchdowns, sparking an offensive output that netted 490 total yards. Five different players reached the end zone. Defensively, the Saints allowed just 85 total yards and three complete passes. Jordan also had an interception.

Saints update: Got a late red-zone stop last week to preserve 19-16 win at Donegal. . . In their only other win, against Executive Education, they knocked down a pass in the end zone on the final play of the game to win 19-14. . . Played without senior QB Will Hess, who was knocked out of the Wyomissing game in Week 4 with a concussion. His status for Friday is uncertain. . . Junior Zach Susky stepped in and completed 5-of-7 passes for 95 yards with no INTs. . . He led the team on a 12-play scoring drive to open the game. . . CB Bryce Gumby, injured and unable to play in Weeks 3 and 4, returned last week and intercepted his team-leading 3rd pass. . .  Also played last week without TE Jackson Gofits, who was injured in Week 4 vs. Wyomissing. . . Michael Bradley is team’s leading rusher, with 261 yards; he’s averaging nearly 6 yards per carry. . . WR Maxx Mace has team-leading 10 receptions. . . Ranked No. 5 in District 3 Class 3A power ratings; top six qualify.

Did you know? Conrad Weiser went more than a calendar year without a win before beating Octorara 21-6 last week. That snapped a nine-game losing streak, one short of the program record. The Scouts lost 10 in a row in 1990 when they finished a program-worst 1-10.

Scouts update: Despite missing their top running back and nine other starters, earned first victory last week, beating Octorara 21-6. . . Sevon Parham stepped in for injured Ousmane Conde and scored a pair of TDs, one on a 28-yard pass from Donovan Gingrich. . . Soph Javien Rivera rushed for career-best 101 yards on 21 carries; he also ran for a TD. . . He was filling in for junior RB Jonathon McQuillen, who missed the past two games with a broken wrist. . . Also missing a pair of two-way starting linemen, Evan Miller and Charlie Shimp, both for the season. . . Due to injuries and illnesses, were without as many as 15 starters during preparation last week. . . Gingrich has thrown for 633 yards and 6 TDs, with 2 INTs. . . Top target Evan Rittle has 18 receptions, tops in Section 4 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League, and four TD catches. . . Allowing 31.0 points per game after surrendering a program-worst 33.0 last season.

Fast fact: Conrad Weiser’s 0-4 start was its first since 2000, when it lost its first five games en route to 3-8 finish. The worst start in program history came in 1976 when the Scouts dropped their first seven games and finished 1-9.
