Q: If you could go one-on-one against any NBA player, past or present, who would it be?
It would be Dennis Rodman, because he is one of my favorite players of all time.
Q: Who is the Reading High basketball player you looked up to most?
Wesley Butler. He made sure he handled what he needed to on and off the court at all times. He had the best character, work ethic and attitude every day.
Q: What’s the one super-power you wish you possessed?
I wish I had the ability to change people’s minds, to help everyone work towards a common goal and achieve it all at once.
Q: Who’s the hardest-working player on your team?
The hardest working player would have to be Myles Grey. He is always the first one in the gym and the last to leave.
Q: Other than your home court where’s your favorite place to play?
The Santander Arena.
Q: What’s the funniest thing a ref ever said to you during a game?
A ref said: “ Watch This!” and started break-dancing while making a call! Hahaha!
Q: What’s the toughest thing about playing basketball for Reading High?
How the program challenges your character at all times, both on and off the court.
Q: What are you listening to before a game?
I love to listen to music that calms me, music that brings me great memories. That’s how I start my pre-game routine, with great memories and music.
Q: What’s the one thing Coach Perez has said that you think you’ll remember 20 years from now?
“ Character equals strength.” This will reside with me forever, because this is the code I live by.
Q: What’s your favorite memory from winning the state title last season?
Being able to see a new day since the beginning of the season. We were never sure we’d see the new basketball day. With hard work, fortunate events and love we got through each and every day we were blessed to see.
