Wyomissing beats Brandywine, snaps four-game skid
Drew Forrey scored a career-high 22 points as Wyomissing kept its feint district playoff hopes alive with a 53-43 Berks Conference crossover victory against visiting Brandywine Heights Wednesday night.
The Spartans (4-6 Berks III, 7-11) snapped a four-game losing streak.

They entered the night ranked 14th in the District 3 Class 4A power rankings; the top 10 qualify.
Wyomissing has four games remaining, three against certain district playoff qualifiers: Berks Catholic, Fleetwood and Trinity.
The Bullets (4-7 Berks IV, 9-11) led 6-0 in the opening minutes and 20-10 after one quarter before fading.
Forrey scored 14 second-half points as the Spartans outscored the Bullets 28-16 to pull away. Aiden Schippers had eight points and Ben Zechman six for Wyomissing.
The Spartans outscored the Bullets by 20 points over the final three quarters.
Freshman Nate Winkler scored 13 points and sophomore Tommy Clark had 12 for Brandywine Heights, which was coming off an overtime loss to Berks IV champ Oley Valley.
The Bullets remain in strong position to return to the District 3 Class 3A Tournament. They entered the game ranked sixth in the power ratings and well ahead of No. 7 Kutztown. The top six teams qualify.
If the power ratings don’t change dramatically over the next week Brandywine will open district play at Oley Valley, which is expected to enter as the No. 3 seed.
