Wilson, Antietam claim holiday tournament titles
Tournament MVP Cleveland Harding scored a game-high 19 points to lead Wilson over Hempfield 52-36 Wednesday in the championship game of the Hempfield Holiday Tournament.
Harding hit 5-of-6 free throws in the final quarter as the Bulldogs (7-1) completed a big second half. They trailed the Black Knights (6-2) by a point at halftime.
Antietam and Reading High also claimed holiday tournament titles Wednesday.
The Mounts edged Nativity 85-83 in overtime to capture the Antietam Holiday Tournament title. The Red Knights rallied to beat Devon Prep 58-50 in the Reading Holiday Tournament.
At Landisville, Harding had 10 points in the second half as the Bulldogs outscored the Black Knights 33-16 over the final two quarters. Wilson trailed 22-19 in the third quarter before using a 30-10 run to take control.
Ofure Odiale scored 10 points for Wilson to join Harding and teammate Aiden Melograna on the all-tournament team. Melograna scored 21 points in Tuesday’s 60-51 win over Central York and seven against Hempfield.

The Bulldogs have won three straight since an overtime loss at Warwick Dec. 15.
Hempfield is one of the top teams in Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League; it had won six in a row since a season-opening loss to Lampeter-Strasburg Strasburg.
At Stony Creek, tournament MVP Jovan Hollis scored a game-high 28 points, including four in OT, as the Mounts (5-4) outlasted Nativity (2-4).
The Mounts outscored the Green Wave 9-7 in the extra period.
Sophomore Jowen Reyes-Rodriguez scored a career-high 24 points for Antietam, including 6-of-9 from the free throw line.
Hollis was good on 12-of-17 free throws and the Mounts made 30-of-45 in a game in which four players fouled out, two from each team.
Freshman Trey Keating hit four 3-pointers and scored a team-high 19 points for Nativity; Bailey Ziolkowski scored 18, four in overtime.
