Here’s a look at Berks County football players who played at the Division I level in 2025, and where they’ll be playing this fall.
Caleb Brewer, Penn State
The All-State pick from Wyomissing was redshirted as a freshman in 2024 and practiced at guard and center during the 2025 season; he did not see any game action.
The 6-5, 290-pound lineman earned the coaching staff’s Developmental Squad Offensive Player of the Week award leading up to the Ohio State game.
Brewer was rated as a three-star prospect after being named Berks Lineman of the Year by MikeDragoSports.com.
He was just the third player named both Offensive Lineman of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year in the same season by Berks County coaches.

Amier Burdine, Alabama A&M
The Reading High grad transferred following three seasons at Sacred Heart.
The 6-1, 180-pound defensive back was among 39 players signed by the Bulldogs last month. He is listed as a junior on the roster. Alabama A&M plays at the FCS level and competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Burdine played eight games last season for Sacred Heart, recording six tackles and an interception.
Burdine was named to the Pennsylvania Football News Coaches Select All-State team as a defensive athlete following his senior season with the Red Knights, 2022.
Anthony Caccese, Delaware
The Exeter grad started all 13 games (10 at right guard, three at right tackle) for the Blue Hens, who went 7-6 and ended their season with 20-13 win over Louisiana in the 68 Ventures Bowls at Mobile, Ala. Caccese allowed just three sacks all season.
The 6-6, 305-pound junior was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team following last season.
Caccese was a two-time All-Berks pick at Exeter, helped the Eagles to their only District 3 championship, in 2021, and was selected to play in the Big 33 Classic. He also was the starting center on the Eagles basketball team, which reached the PIAA championship game.

Josh Cupitt, Delaware
The Exeter grad received a medical redshirt after missing the 2025 season due to injury; he plans to kick again for the Blue Hens in 2026.
Cupitt appeared in all 11 games in 2024, averaging 43.0 yards on 27 punts, with 10 of 50 or more yards.
Cupitt transferred from Towson following the 2023 season, when he was the Tigers’ primary punter and earned honorable mention All-CAA honors.

Aidan Cirulli, Saint Francis
The Wyomissing grad finished among national punting leaders at the FCS level after averaging 42.05 yards on 64 kicks as a redshirt senior. He had a long of 61 yards.
Following the season Cirulli was invited to the National Scouting Combine in Naples, Fla.
He ranks fifth all-time in program history in punting yards.
The All-State pick kicked a pair of field goals in Wyomissing’s PIAA Class 3A championship game against Central Valley in 2020, including a 44-yarder, longest in history in a 3A title game.
Aris Drake, U.S. Naval Academy
The Twin Valley grad played for the unbeaten Naval Academy Prep School at St. Thomas More as a freshman in 2025.
He is listed as a 6-6, 295-pound offensive tackle.
Drake was a four-year starter and a key anchor for a Twin Valley offense that averaged over 400 total yards per game during his tenure.
Keyshawn Efese, Monmouth
The 6-5, 290-pound offensive lineman from Reading High was redshirted and did not see the field as a true freshman in 2025.
Efese was an all-league pick in Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League as a senior.
Timmy Fleischood Jr., Mercyhurst
The Wyomissing grad played in five games for the Lakers last season and made 17 tackles, including two for loss. He had a season-high eight tackles vs. South Dakota State. Fleischood Jr. is listed as a 6-2, 215-pound linebacker on the 2026 roster.
Mercyhurst is an FCS school which began competing in the Northeast Conference in 2024.
After graduating Wyomissing Fleischood Jr. played at Fork Union Military Academy, at Southern Utah in 2022, and for two seasons at East Los Angeles College.

Cam Jones, Toledo
The Wilson grad transferred after earning all-conference honors at Holy Cross the past two seasons.
The 5-11, 190-pound cornerback will compete with the Rockets in the Mid-American Conference, a step up from the Patriot League. He has two years of athletic eligibility remaining.
He was a two-time All-State pick and a lock-down corner for the Bulldogs and he is considered as one of the greatest all-around players in program history.
After a redshirt freshman season at Holy Cross he became a fixture on defense the past two seasons. Last season he was named captain, started 10 games, and led the team with eight pass breakups.

Jadyn Jones, U.S. Naval Academy
The Wilson grad saw time in six games on the Midshipmen kick return unit as a sophomore.
He is listed as a 5-11, 205-pound running back on the 2026 spring roster.
Jones attended the Naval Academy Prep School in St. Thomas More for one year after graduating from Wilson.
Jones was a three-time all-league pick with the Bulldogs.
Ryker Jones, Princeton
The two-time All-State pick at Wyomissing played in nine games and made 11 tackles as a sophomore linebacker for the Tigers last season.
At Wyomissing, he played on three District 3 championship teams, was an All-State pick as a senior and named Berks County’s Defensive Player of the Year by MikeDragoSports.com.
Aiden Mack, Richmond
The Wyomissing grad saw time in 11 games as a senior for the Spiders last season, primarily on special teams. He started one game at tight end, against Holy Cross.
Mack is graduating this spring and has completed his time with the Spiders.
Mack played on three district championship teams with the Spartans, as a tight end and defensive end. He was an All-Berks pick at both spots as a senior.
Tanner Maddocks, Villanova
The Fleetwood grad was positioned to compete for the Wildcats’ starting quarterback job this spring but left the team in order to pursue business interests. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Maddocks saw time in nine games as a backup last fall during his junior season.
He completed 8-of-15 passes overall and threw his first career touchdown pass on the final play of a loss to Penn State at Beaver Stadium last season. He entered the game when starting quarterback Pat McQuaide was injured and led the Wildcats on a long scoring drive in the final minute.

Paul McClune IV, U.S. Naval Academy
The Twin Valley grad is listed as a 6-4, 285-pound sophomore guard on the Midshipmen’s 2026 spring roster. He did not see game action last season.

McClune was an All-State pick as a senior.
Charlie McIntyre, Bucknell
The Wyomissing grad was limited to one game last season due to a knee injury.
He is listed as a 6-foot, senior safety on the spring roster.
McIntyre was selected for the Pennsylvania Football News Coaches Select All-State team following his senior season, in 2022. He helped the Spartans to a 37-3 record and three district championships during his four seasons.
Xander Menapace, Columbia

The Hamburg grad played in five games for the Lions last season, including a Week 4 start against Lehigh when he threw a 74-yard touchdown pass, the longest of the season for Columbia. He threw for 178 yards in the 31-7 loss to the Mountain Hawks.
Overall, the 6-5, 215-pound junior completed 19-of-33 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown; he rushed 21 times for 63 yards. He also recorded the longest run of the season for the Lions, 28 yards against Lehigh.
Menapace set numerous passing records at Hamburg, including most passing yards in a season, touchdown passes in a season and career, and completions and completion percentage in a season and career.
He was a second-team All-State pick on the Coaches’ Select Team and was selected for the East/West game.
Joey Polinsky, Cornell
The Berks Catholic grad did not see action as a sophomore in 2025.
He is listed as a 6-5, 260-pound junior lineman on the spring roster.
Polinsky played on a pair of Eastern Conference championship teams with the Saints and was selected for the PSFCA East/West Game.
Aron Reinhart, Albany
The Berks Catholic grad saw time in four games last season for the Great Danes.
He is listed on the spring roster as a 6-3, 235-pound senior long snapper.
Reinhart played eight games for Lackawanna College in 2024, earning second-team All-American honors.
Joey Schlaffer, Temple
The All-State tight end from Exeter transferred to Temple following three seasons as a backup at Penn State.
Schlaffer had one reception for the Nittany Lions in 2025, a 19-yard touchdown from Ethan Grunkemeyer in a 52-6 win over Villanova; he appeared in three games.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
When James Franklin was fired in October Schlaffer became the first Penn State player to leave the program and announce his intentions to enter the NCAA transfer portal. He was removed from the roster on Nov. 5, according to Onwardstate.com.
Temple finished 5-7 in its first season under head coach K.C. Keeler.

Nick Singleton, Penn State
The Governor Mifflin grad finished his four-year career with the Nittany Lions with 3,461 rushing yards and program records with 55 touchdowns and 45 rushing touchdowns. He broke Saquan Barkley’s records in each category. He also broke Barkley’s record for all-purpose yards, finishing with 5,586.
He is currently recovering from a foot injury suffered in the Senior Bowl and preparing for the NFL Draft, where he is expected to be taken in the top five rounds.
Singleton smashed practically every Berks rushing and scoring record during four seasons with the Mustangs, finishing with 6,326 yards and 116 touchdowns.
Cam’Ron Stewart, Temple
The Governor Mifflin grad earned second-team All-American Conference honors last season as a redshirt senior. He was a first-team defensive end pick on Phil Steele’s Postseason all-conference team.
He announced in December, through social media, that he was planning to declare for the NFL draft.
Stewart appeared in every game last season for the Owls and tied for fourth in the conference with five sacks. He finished with 33 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss
Stewart played three seasons at Rutgers before transferring to Temple for the 2024 season.
At Mifflin, he was Berks County Defensive Lineman of the Year as a senior, led the Mustangs to their only District 3 championship and was named MVP of the Big 33 Classic.
JR Strauss, Villanova
The All-State pick from Exeter saw his season end in Week 2 when he was injured at Penn State.
The 6-3, 203-pound junior linebacker cracked the starting lineup to open the season and had a team-high eight tackles in a 24-17 win over Colgate in the season-opener.
Strauss received a medical redshirt and is listed as a junior on the Villanova spring roster.
The Wildcats went on to finish 12-3, beating Harvard, Lehigh, and Tarleton State in the NCAA Tournament before falling to Illinois State in the national semifinals.
Strauss played in all 14 games as a sophomore in 2024.

Hunter Svoboda, William & Mary
The Fleetwood grad appeared in two games for the Tribe last season.
He is listed as a 6-6, 280-pound sophomore offensive lineman on the spring roster.
Svoboda was redshirted as a freshman in 2024.
Joey Svoboda, William & Mary
The Fleetwood grad appeared in four games for the Tribe last season.
He is listed as a 6-5, 290-pound redshirt junior defensive tackle on the spring roster.
Svoboda was redshirted as a freshman in 2022.
Logan Wegman, U.S. Naval Academy
The Exeter grad is listed as a 6-4, 275-pound sophomore tackle on the Midshipmen’s 2026 roster. He did not see game time last season.
Wegman was an All-State pick as a senior at Exeter.

J’Ven Williams, UNC-Charlotte
After three seasons at Penn State the two-time All-State pick from Wyomissing transferred to Charlotte. He will have two years of athletic eligibility remaining.
He is currently listed as the 49ers’ No. 1 left tackle entering spring camp by cfbupdate.com; he is expected to battle for playing time there, or at guard.
The 6-3, 315-pound Williams went to Penn State in January 2023 as the top line recruit in Pennsylvania but saw little time on the field. He was redshirted as a freshman before playing in 16 games in 2024, mostly on special teams and in a backup role on the offensive line.
He played in just three games in 2025; published reports indicate an early season injury limited his playing time.

Ty Yocum, Merrimack
The Exeter grad started 11-of-12 games as a tight end or H-back for the Warriors as a senior in 2025. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot, 240-pound blocking back had one carry and two receptions for the Warriors, who reached the Yankee Conference championship game, lost to Sacred Heart 42-37.
Yocum was named MikeDragoSports.com Defensive Player of the Year and Berks County Linebacker of the Year as a senior, when he led the Eagles to their only District 3 championship and a win over unbeaten and top-ranked Governor Mifflin.
Zack Zandier, Lafayette
The 6-5, 250-pound tight end played in two games last season for the Leopards but is not listed on their spring roster.
The Exeter grad spent the 2024 season at Coastal Carolina, where he was redshirted, before transferring to Lafayette.
Zandier, an All-Berks pick with the Eagles, received offers from more than two dozen Division I programs coming out of high school, including Bucknell, Colgate, Delaware, New Hampshire, Richmond and Temple.
Pacen Ziegler, Sacred Heart
The Wyomissing grad is graduating with honors this spring from the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology after playing three seasons with the Pioneers.
He earned all-league honors as an offensive lineman and played on three district championship teams with the Spartans.
