Correll Akings, Palmer Reber, Ben Grundy highlight Berks ‘Watch List’

The Berks “Watch List” is a companion to the “Starting Lineup,” which features the 13 top players in Berks football, as selected by MikeDragoSports.com.
The “Watch List” includes more than 60 players from Berks County, many of them college prospects. Most were all-league picks last season.

The majority are seniors and junior; there is one sophomore, Brady Eisenhower of Wyomissing, and one freshman, Isaac McFadden of Hamburg.
Players were selected based on past performance, projected performance this season, and college potential. Berks coaches nominated their top players; final selection was made by MikeDragoSports.com.
Exeter, Twin Valley, and Wilson have the most “Watch List” selections, with eight. Wyomissing has seven, Berks Catholic six. Every Berks program has at least one selection.
When combined with the 13-player starting lineup Twin Valley has the most selections, with 11; Exeter, Wilson and Wyomissing each have 10.
Six players from last year’s “Watch List” appear on this year’s “Starting Lineup”: Schuylkill Valley’s Logan Cammauf, Wilson’s Michael Glover, Exeter’s Riley Martinez, Lucas Meyers and Greyson Miller of Twin Valley, and Exeter’s Joel Ummarino.
Running back is the most common position, with 18 (including two fullbacks). There are 12 offensive tackles and seven quarterbacks.
Defensively, there are 11 cornerbacks, nine tackles, nine linebackers, and eight safeties. Most of the selections are two-way players.
