Panthers’ Juliana Stichter: Wyomissing Physical Therapy Player of the Week

Senior Juliana Stichter and Schuylkill Valley entered Week 3 of the high school girls basketball season with a losing record and easing senior point guard Natane White back to game speed coming off surgery for a torn ACL.
Stichter had 14 points and 15 rebounds in a 53-35 win over Fleetwood and 18 points and eight rebounds in a 41-35 overtime win over Brandywine Heights to lead the Panthers (5-4) to an undefeated week.
The 5-7 senior, committed to play at Bryn Athyn College, has taken her game up a notch this season with a 13.3 scoring average, increased production on the glass, and more responsibility handling the ball.
” ‘Julz’ has been stepping up all year with her scoring and her rebounding,” Schuylkill Valley head coach Jason Bagenstose said. “She is a true team player and has been such a positive leader and good influence on our younger players.”
Stichter’s scoring average is seventh in the league. She hopes to help lead the Panthers back to the Berks playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. Schuylkill Valley lost to Berks Catholic in the BCIAA quarterfinals last season.
Stichter was selected Player of the Week once last season and is one of two Panthers ever selected, along with Lekaiah Solomon in 2021-22.
