Noll, O’Brien, Frantz highlight Berks boys basketball honor roll

MikeDragoSports.com presents an honor roll of the top Berks boys basketball players each week. Coaches are encouraged to nominate their top player for consideration. One player will be selected Player of the Week.

Josh McKoy, Antietam: The 6-2 sophomore had 17 points, seven assists and two steals against Brandywine Heights and 18 points, two assists and two steals against Daniel Boone as the Mounts won both their games.

Josiah Jordan, Berks Catholic: The junior guard hit 9-of-13 shots, scored a game-high 26 points and came up with a key defensive play down the stretch in a 72-70 win over Gov. Mifflin; he had a game-high 19 points in a 68-57 win at Lancaster Mennonite.

Chris Gauby, Brandywine Heights: The senior had 14 points and six rebounds against Antietam.

Adam Noll, Conrad Weiser: The 6-1 junior scored a career-high 27 points vs. Daniel Boone, hitting 5-of-6 shots from 3-point range and 11-of-12 overall from the field, and had 20 points vs. Brandywine Heights, going 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, as the Scouts won both their games.

Connor Licklider, Hamburg: The 5-9 junior scored a career-high 17 points as the Hawks beat Northern Lebanon 52-48.

Danny Turchi, Oley Valley: The 6-2 senior scored a game-high 19 points as the Lynx beat Kutztown 54-39 in their only game last week.

Ruben Rodriguez, Reading High: The junior guard scored a game-high 15 points as the Red Knights won their only game, beating Wilson 64-36.

Troy Frantz, Schuylkill Valley: The 6-2 senior guard scored 13 points, had eight steals and five rebounds as the Panthers beat Hamburg in their only game of the week.

Julian O’Brien, Wyomissing: The senior guard had 19 points in a 47-33 win over Tulpehocken and 17 in a 50-48 win over Twin Valley as the Spartans took two-of-three games.
