Before the season Reading High coach Rick Perez said he thought junior guard Myles Grey had the capability to hit 60 3-pointers this season.
Might be time to raise that projection.
Grey tied the Berks Conference record with 10 3-pointers in a game Tuesday night in the Red Knights’ 85-31 crossover victory over Twin Valley at the Geigle.

Grey hit 10-of-16 shots from beyond the arc and finished with a career-high 30 points. He came within one 3-pointer of the county record, set in 2003 by High Point’s Ryan Vanderboegh.
Only two Berks Conference players had hit as many as 10 3’s in a game, and no one had done it in this century.
Tulpehocken’s Charlie Copp and Conrad Weiser’s John Richardson were the last Berks Conference players to hit 10 3’s in a game. Both did it in the 1997-98 season. Copp did it against Muhlenberg; Richardson did it against Gov. Mifflin.
Grey hit five 3’s in the third quarter and eight in the second half to break the Red Knights’ record. That record was held by David Lawson, who had nine against Conrad Weiser in 2006-07.
Daniel Alcantara, making his first start in nearly a month, scored 19 points as the Berks I-leading Red Knights improved to 6-0 in league play and 12-2 overall.
Beau Altman had eight points for the Raiders (2-4 Berks II, 6-6).
The Red Knights led 24-6 after one period as Joey Chapman came off the bench and scored all of his nine points. The lead was 46-25 at the half. Grey had just six points at the half.
Ruben Rodriguez scored 15 points for Reading, 13 in the first half.
Grey’s previous career high came earlier this month, when he had 24 points, and hit seven 3-pointers, in a 79-58 win at Gov. Mifflin.
He has 40 3-pointers in 14 games, matching the Berks lead.
Vanderboegh set the record with 11 3-pointers against Lebanon Christian.
