Muhlenberg wins, Exeter beaten in Geigle Classic
Jay’Daniel Mosquera and Luis Valentin combined for 15 third-quarter points as Muhlenberg pulled away from William Allen 58-42 Saturday afternoon at the Geigle Classic.
Mosquera finished with a team-high 14 points and Kyle Archie had a season-high 10 for the Muhls (10-6), who have won back-to-back games for the first time in a month.
In the opening game of the six-game card Exeter (9-5) saw its four-game winning streak come to an end with a 49-40 loss to Executive Education.

Reading High (17-1) closed the day-long event with a 77-35 win over Harrisburg, the Red Knights’ most lopsided win ever against the Cougars.
The Muhls used a 21-6 third-quarter advantage over the Canaries (9-8) to pull ahead. Mosquera had eight points in the quarter, including a 3-pointer; Valentin had seven.
The Eagles led the Raptors 27-19 at the half as Reece Garvin had 11 points and Teddy Snyder knocked down a pair of 3’s.
Exeter went cold in the second half, made just three field goals and was outscored 30-13. Senior center Anthony Caccese finished with seven points and four fouls and didn’t score in the second half. Senior point guard Zyion Paschall fouled out and did not score for the Eagles. Garvin finished with a team-high 13.
The Raptors (10-2) closed it out in the fourth quarter by going 8-for-8 at the foul line; they were 21-for-27 for the game. The Eagles went to the line 14 times.
