The season is ending too soon for the streaking Antietam Mounts.

The Mounts, who snapped a 35-game losing streak earlier this season, went out with their third straight win Wednesday, beating Conestoga Christian 5-1 on Senior Night at the A-Field.

It was the third straight win for the Mounts (4-16) and gives them their most victories in a season in seven years.

Aiden Romberger earned the victory, throwing a two-hitter with four strikeouts. The only run he allowed was unearned.

Jordan Unger, the only senior in the starting lineup, had two of Antietam’s five hits and scored a run. Freshman Aiden Rumpeltin walked twice and scored twice. Romberger and junior Dominick Perez each had three RBIs.

The Mounts snapped a 14-game losing streak with an 18-8 win at Steel-High on Friday, then came back with a 12-3 win at La Academia Partnership Charter on Monday. This is their first three-game winning streak since 2019.

The Mounts went winless in 19 games last season. They entered the season with a 2-53 record over the past three seasons.

Antietam went winless this season in Berks League play but 4-5 in non-league games.

Conestoga Christian ends its season at 5-9.
