McKoy, Suarez, Zdimal highlight Berks boys basketball honor roll

MikeDragoSports.com presents an honor roll of the top Berks boys basketball players each week. Coaches are encouraged to nominate their top player for consideration. One player will be selected Player of the Week.

Josh McKoy, Antietam: The sophomore scored 25 points in a 61-44 win over Tulpehocken as the Berks IV champion Mounts closed out their regular season.

Aidan Sands, Berks Catholic: The senior forward scored 20 points, two short of his career-best, in a 56-43 win over Wilson and 14 in a win over Holy Ghost Prep.

Nate Herb, Fleetwood: The sophomore guard scored a team-high 17 points in the regular season final against Schuylkill Valley, a 56-50 win.

Delsin McNeil, Gov. Mifflin: The junior guard scored 16 points in a season-ending 54-51 win over Exeter.

Edwin Suarez, Muhlenberg: The 6-6 senior scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a 63-61 win over Reading High.

Daniel Alcantara, Reading High: The senior wing scored a career-high 30 points in an 89-55 win over Wilson to wrap up the regular season. He is now within 11 points of 1,000 for his career.

Kannon Zdimal, Twin Valley: The junior led his team in scoring three times in four games and matched his career high with 25 points in a win over Ephrata. Overall, he scored 76 points as the Raiders won twice.

Amory Thompson, Wyomissing: The senior forward had 14 points in a win over Hamburg and 15 in a win over Elco as the Spartans won three of their four games.
