Jake Karnish scored 20 first-half points to spark Fleetwood to a 70-30 non-league victory over Catasauqua Saturday, giving Terry Sitler his 100th victory with the Tigers.
Sitler is in his 11th season at Fleetwood and coming off his best season, when the Tigers went 16-8 and won the Berks Conference Division III title. He is 100-115 with Fleetwood. He also won 126 games in 12 seasons as head coach of the Brandywine Heights girls.
Karnish finished with a game-high 26 points as the Tigers improved to 4-0. He was good on 9-of-10 shots from the foul line. Karnish, an All-Berks pick as a junior, is averaging 28.0 points per game.
Kevin Williams scored 15 points and Aiden Soumas 14 for the Tigers, who led 40-13 at the half.
Ian Juica led the Rough Riders (1-4) with 12 points.
Fleetwood begins Berks Conference Division III play Tuesday at Schuylkill Valley.
Only two other coaches in the last 75 years have won 100 or more games with the Fleetwood boys: John Stengle, who coached in the 1950s, and Charlie Young, who went 166-105 over 10 seasons from 1976-86.
Earlier this season Schuylkill Valley coach Taylor Grim won his 100th game.
