Grace Reedy had already etched her name in Exeter’s girls basketball record book.
Now she’ll have a 40 next to her name after breaking the single-game scoring mark of 35, which she set as a junior.
Reedy hit 11 two-pointers, three 3’s, and shot 9-for-11 from the foul line to hit the 40-point mark Friday in a 59-54 Berks League Division II win over Twin Valley.

She scored 14 points in the final quarter and had 26 after halftime. Exeter trailed 25-22 at the half and went into the fourth quarter tied at 41-41.
Reedy accounted for 69 percent of her team’s points as the Eagles improved to 8-3 overall and took over sole possession of first place in Berks II.
Reedy set the program scoring record last season in a win over Daniel Boone, breaking Donna Luft’s 35-year-old record of 32 points.
Reedy reached 30 points or more three additional times last season and scored 34 earlier this season in a win over Eastern York to reach the 1,000-point mark.
She now sits at 1,151 points, second in Exeter girls history, trailing only Courtney Crockett (1,389). She passed Luft (1,146) in Friday’s game and Jennifer Eck (1,099) earlier this season.
Reedy upped her league-leading scoring average to 22.6; she averaged a league-high 22.3 last season. That was the first time a Berks girl averaged 20 or more since Twin Valley’s Peyton McDaniel and Wyomissing’s Lily Seyfert each did so in the 2019-20 season.
Reedy was coming off a four-point performance in a loss to York Suburban Wednesday, her lowest point total since early in her sophomore season.
