(The story will be updated later tonight with details and postgame reaction.)

Brady Hannahoe hit a two-run triple in the seventh and an RBI single in the ninth as Exeter came from four runs down to beat Gov. Mifflin 16-10 Thursday afternoon, ending the Mustangs’ bid for a perfect regular season.

The Berks League Division I champion Mustangs (11-1, 19-1) led 6-2 after one inning and held the lead until the seventh, when Hannahoe scored on a sacrifice fly to tie it 10-10.

The Eagles (8-4, 13-5) batted around in the ninth, with Luke Weller providing an RBI single, Nick Sydor a two-run double and Devin Sheerin an RBI double.

The Eagles banged out 16 hits, overcoming five errors that led to six early unearned runs.

The Mustangs made a season-high five errors, leading to six unearned runs.

Hannahoe finished 3-for-6 and scored twice. Evan Franek reached base five straight times and scored four runs.

Exeter didn’t have either of its top two starters, Sheerin and Weller, available but got a standout relief performance from Owen Wisner, who went 6 2/3 innings and allowed four runs, two earned.

Alex Kelsey recorded the final four outs for the win. Wisner and Kelsey combined to allow just three hits and one run over the final five innings.

Travis Jenkins had two hits and two RBIs for Mifflin, which had 11 hits.

The Mustangs will be the No. 1 seed in the Berks League playoffs, which begin next week.
