Berks Catholic grad Trevor Leamer earns MAC baseball honor

Berks Catholic grad Trevor Leamer, a senior at DeSales University, has been named to the MAC Freedom all-conference baseball team.
Leamer was a first-team pick at first base.

He led the team in six offensive categories, with a .399 batting average, 63 hits, 87 total bases, a .484 on-base percentage, a 1.035 OPS and with 41 runs scored.

He hit three home runs, drove in 27 runs and had five stolen bases. He was the only player to start or play in all 40 games for the Bulldogs.

Leamer was a team captain this season.

Leamer is joined on the all-conference team by DeSales teammate Ian Kacergis, who was named Pitcher of the Year after going 8-1 with a team-low 3.14 ERA in 11 starts, with five complete games and two shutouts.

As a junior, Leamer batted .250 and started 23 games.

He was an All-Berks baseball pick as a senior with the Saints.

The Bulldogs’ season ended May 9 when they were beaten by Arcadia 3-2 in the final game of a best-of-three series. They finished 20-20.
