Berks Catholic, Brandywine Heights, and Wyomissing were the only Berks Girls League teams to make the District 3 Tournament last season.
The Spartans won their first title, defeating the Saints 24-23 in the Class 4A semifinals and Delone Catholic for the gold.
With the regular season winding to a close seven Berks teams are in position to qualify for their district tournaments, according to unofficial power ratings posted on the District 3 website: Brandywine and Oley Valley in 3A, Berks Catholic and Wyomissing in 4A, Exeter in 5A, and Gov. Mifflin and Wilson in 6A.
Oley Valley (.609) is No. 5 and Brandywine Heights (.592) No. 6 in the six-team , the final qualifier in Class 3A field. Upper Dauphin (.583) and Brandywine are jostling for the final spot. Lancaster Catholic (.790), Columbia (.693), Pequea Valley (.688), and York Catholic (.667) are the top four.

Wyomissing (.752) is No. 2 in Class 4A with Berks Catholic (.624) at No. 5. Schuylkill Valley (.581) is No. 11 in the 10-team field.
The Panthers are chasing No. 10 Middletown (.589) for the final spot.
Delone Catholic (.790), Northern Lebanon (.707), Bishop McDevitt (.624), Eastern York (.612), Trinity (.610), Big Spring (.594), Bermudian Springs (.594) are the others currently in the field.
Exeter (.614) is the only likely Berks qualifier in 5A, sitting at No. 9 in the 14-team field.
Muhlenberg (.511) is No. 15 and will need a win at Reading High Monday night for a chance to catch No. 14 Milton Hershey (.548).
York Suburban (.803), Northern York (.773), Susquehanna Township (.755), West York (.709), Mechanicsburg (.706), Greencastle-Antrim (.701), Palmyra (.680), Manheim Central (.640), Red Land (.586), Cocalico (.562), Susquehannock (.555), and Lampeter-Strasburg (.548) are the other current qualifiers.
No. 2 Wilson (.793) and No. 10 Gov. Mifflin (.685) are in position to qualify for the 12-team Class 6A field. Lebanon (.795), Central Dauphin (.782), Dallastown (.774), Northeastern (.756), Manheim Township (.750), Central York (.748), South Western (.700), Ephrata (.692), William Penn (.685), and Cedar Crest (.660) are the others.
Reading High (.604) is No. 15.
All seedings are based on power ratings. All regular season games played through Feb. 14 count toward the power ratings; league playoff games are not factored in.
All games through the semifinals will be played on the home floor of the higher-seeded team. All championship games will be played at Giant Center, on Feb. 28, 29 or March 1.
