Exeter’s Grace Reedy is Wyomissing Physical Therapy Player of the Week

Grace Reedy led Exeter to the championship at the Solanco Holiday Tournament last week, earning tournament MVP honors after scoring 31 points over two games.

That effort also earned Wyomissing Physical Therapy Player of the Week honors.

Reedy scored 14 points in a 54-31 win over the Golden Mules on Thursday and 17 points in the championship victory over Lampeter-Strasburg on Friday.

The senior led Exeter to a division title and its first BCIAA playoff appearance last year since 2015. She scored at a 22.3 clip, which she has topped this year with a league-high 22.8 average.

“Grace has been a consistent scoring threat again this season,” Exeter head coach Derek Wolfe said. “She’s also picked up her intensity on defense and rebounding.”

The Eagles (7-2) are off to a hot start and are the favorite to repeat as Berks II champs.

Reedy sits at 1,107 career points after moving her past Jennifer Eck for third all-time in Exeter girls basketball history.

If Reedy continues to score at her current pace she’ll pass Cortney Crocket (1,389) as the Eagles’ all-time scoring leader in about 12 games.

Reedy was selected as Player of the Week once last season; she is the only Eagles player to be selected.
