Wyomissing Physical Therapy Offensive Player of the Week

The Schuylkill Valley Panthers have been turning defense into offense all season, enough so to win 17 games and qualify for both the Berks Conference and District 3 Class 4A Tournament.
Sophomore guard Cooper Hohenadel has been taking advantage. He set a career scoring high last week with 19 points in a win over Hamburg, then topped it the next night, scoring 21 in a regular season finale against Susquehanna Township.

“The last three games we have forced a lot of turnovers,” said Panthers coach Taylor Grim, “and Cooper has gotten some easy points with fastbreaks.
“You still have to (be able to) finish the play on the run at full speed, which he has been doing.”
Hohenadel has been named Wyomissing Physical Therapy Player of the Week for the first time after helping the Panthers close out the regular season with five straight wins and their largest win total in more than a decade.
The 5-10 Hohenadel is averaging 12.5 points, second on the team, and is among the league’s top 3-point threats, with 47.
He is hitting a team-best 32.2% from beyond the arc and has made at least one 3-pointer in 10 straight games
“Cooper has been shooting the ball more consistently down the stretch,” Grim said. “He’s also using his shot fake more to get in the paint.”
Hohenadel has scored in double figures in 10 of last 11 games, nine of them wins. The Panthers finished second in Berks III behind Fleetwood. Their 17 wins match the most during Grim’s 11 seasons and are the most in the regular season since Schuylkill Valley finished 17-4 in 2010-11, when Chris Gallo was the head coach.
Hohenadel played in 17 games as a freshman, making five 3’s.
Hohenadel was a key contributor in football, helping the Panthers go 6-5 and reach the District 3 Tournament.
Hohenadel is the second Schuylkill Valley player to earn Wyomissing Phyical Therapy Player of the Week honors this season. Mark Rajnath was selected in December.
