Q: Which class in school is even more interesting than basketball practice?
Computer Aided Design (CAD). I want to go into engineering, so the different aspects of converting a drawing into the CAD software is pretty interesting. I also wanted to pick out of my elective classes.
Q: If you could go one-on-one against any NBA player, past or present, who would it be?
Kevin Durant. He’s someone I’ve tried to build my game around, and he can score on all levels.
Q: Other than your home court where’s your favorite place to play?
My favorite place to play is the Geigle. I haven’t been able to play there during my high school career but I’ve attended basketball camps there.
Q: Who’s the toughest player you’ve had to go against?
The toughest player I’ve had to guard was (Twin Valley’s) Peyton McDaniel.
Q: What’s the one basketball skill you’d like to add to your game?
A post fadeaway.
Q: Who’s the local high school basketball player you looked up to most as a kid?
Lonnie Walker. I met him when I was younger, but the thing that drew me to him was knowing that he was born in Reading just like me, with the same big dreams that he was able to make come true. He gives back to his community while also being a phenomenal basketball player.
Q: If you could hang out with any celebrity or pro athlete for the day, who would it be and what would you do?
Stephen Curry. I would get tips from him on my shooting.
Q: What favorite Twitter page to follow?
“House Of Heat,” so I can see the latest sneakers that came out.
Q: What’s your biggest motivation for success?
Making my family proud.
Q: Who’s your favorite WNBA player?
Candace Parker. I like her overall approach to the game and the way she carries herself off the court.
