Deyvid Palepale, a dominant junior lineman who led Hempfield to the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 title, has announced on Twitter that he will be attending IMG Academy next semester.
The 6-3, 303-pound Palepale was named Outstanding Lineman in Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League after helping the Black Knights go unbeaten in league play and earn the No. 1 seed in the District 3 Class 6A playoffs.
Palepale has numerous Division I offers, from Penn State, Southern Cal, Wisconsin, Louisville, Maryland, Pittsburgh and others. He is rated a three-star prospect by 247sports.com.
Palepale was dominant on both sides of the line in a 20-16 win over Wilson, a victory that helped Hempfield lock in its first section title since 2005.
Palepale was also named Section 1’s Offensive Lineman of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year.
“Thank you to Hempfield,” Palepale wrote on his Twitter account. “These past three years have been nothing but an honor to be a part of such a great program. To my teammates, you guys are my second family. To the staff, you guys have pushed me and set expectations and for that I’m forever grateful.”
Hempfield finished 9-2, losing to Manheim Township 42-7 in the district semifinals.
IMG Academy, located in Bradenton, Fla., is considered one of the nation’s top football program, with annual Top 10 rankings and a national schedule.
