Quotable: “They’re impressive. They have a couple kids with really good speed. You can defend them well, and if somebody just misses a tackle, they’re gone. With the speed they have (if you don’t make the play) you can be in trouble.” — Wyomissing coach Bob Wolfrum, on West Perry.

Did you know? Wyomissing has won eight straight District 3 playoff games, three short of the Berks record set by Berks Catholic from 2015-18.

Fast fact: Wyomissing can become the first Berks team to win four straight district championships. Only four other District 3 programs have achieved that: Manheim Central (10 straight), Bishop McDevitt (6), Cumberland Valley (4) and Steel-High (4).

Winner gets: District 4 champ Danville (11-0) or Loyalsock (11-1). Danville won Week 4 meeting 17-14. They meet Friday at Danville at 7.
