Q: When are you more nervous: At the foul line in the final seconds of a tight game or trying to finish a math exam with time running out and class about to end?
I’ve definitely gotta go with the free throws in a tight game.
Q: You’re an outstanding soccer player in addition to basketball. How do you balance those two sports in the offseason?
I play as much basketball and soccer as I can during the offseason. I have three younger brothers, so we’re always playing and competing with each other during the spring and summer. I also play basketball with my school in summer leagues. I try to keep shooting the basketball during soccer season as much as I can, but I spend most of my time focusing on soccer in the fall.
Q: Who’s your favorite super-hero?
Spider-Man. He’s just a normal kid with hidden abilities, and I love the movies.

Q: You recently scored your 1,000th career point. What was the reaction like after you reached the milestone?
I was just so happy because I was dreaming of that moment for years. I also felt a ton of relief because it happened so close to the end of the season.
Q: Which of your teammates would win an NBA All-Star style 3-point shooting contest?
Ben DeBalko. He’s a freshman and had 10 3’s in one of the JV games this year.
Q: You can get tickets to watch any game in the country, college or NBA. Where are you going, and who are you going to watch play?
Courtside seats for the next time Ben Simmons plays in Philly. That would be such a fun atmosphere.
Q: How are the soccer and basketball cultures at Oley Valley?
Our school is obviously more known for soccer, and it was really fun to win all those medals in soccer, but our basketball team has also been growing a winning atmosphere after winning the division last year.
Q: You win the Megamillions jackpot. Where are you taking your family for vacation?
Hawaii.
Q: You have three younger brothers who play. What advice will you give them after this season about succeeding at this level?
Listen to your coaches, keep a good attitude and always play with confidence. Forget about any shots you miss, that’s the most important thing.
Q: What’s your favorite basketball memory? Describe it.
One-hundred percent beating Antietam (68-63) to win the division last year. It went into multiple overtimes and was the craziest game I’ve ever played in.
