Mellen, Sillah, Alcantara top Berks boys basketball honor roll

MikeDragoSports.com presents an honor roll of the top Berks boys basketball players each week. Coaches are encouraged to nominate their top player for consideration. One player will be selected Player of the Week.

Josh McKoy, Antietam: The 6-2 sophomore forward averaged 17.0 points as the Mounts won each of their four games; he had 21 points in a 60-30 win over Hamburg.

Josiah Jordan, Berks Catholic: The junior guard had 20 points in a loss to Reading High and 16 in a 60-40 win over Exeter.

Teddy Snyder

Charlie Dobb, Conrad Weiser: The 6-7 senior center led the Scouts in scoring in every game during a 3-1 week, including 25 points against Daniel Boone and 21 against Northern Lebanon.

Teddy Snyder, Exeter: The junior guard matched his career-high with 18 points in a loss to Perkiomen Valley. He scored 37 points in three games for the Eagles.

Jake Karnish, Fleetwood: The junior guard scored 71 points over four games, and three wins, and had a team-high 26 points in a loss to Palisades.

Edwin Suarez, Muhlenberg: The 6-6 senior scored 32 points in two wins, including a game-high 20 against Bethlehem Catholic.

Daniel Alcantara, Reading High: The senior forward scored 25 points in an 87-70 win over Berks Catholic and 24 in an 80-64 win over Gov. Mifflin.

Bryce Mellen

Troy Frantz, Schuylkill Valley: The 6-2 senior guard scored 63 points over three games, including a career-high 28 against Wyomissing.

Bryce Mellen, Tulpehocken: The 6-3 senior scored 67 points over four games, including the 1,000th of his career. He also had 38 rebounds, 14 assists, seven blocked shots and 23 steals.

Kannon Zdimal, Twin Valley: The junior forward scored 42 points over three games for the Raiders, including 14 in a 64-41 win over Hamburg.

Foday Sillah, Wilson: The 6-3 senior center scored 53 points over four wins, including a team-high 17, along with 11 rebounds, in a 60-56 overtime victory over Methacton.
