McKoy, Eddinger, Suarez highlight Berks boys basketball honor roll

MikeDragoSports.com presents an honor roll of the top Berks boys basketball players each week. Coaches are encouraged to nominate their top player for consideration. One player will be selected Player of the Week.

Josh McKoy, Antietam: The 6-2 sophomore hit 12-of-15 shots and had a career-high 29 points, along with three rebounds, a steal and an assist in a key 50-48 win over Tulpehocken. He made 8-of-10 shots, scored 19 points and had three assists and three steals against Lancaster Christian.

Spencer Miller, Brandywine Heights: The 6-foot senior had 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and five steals against Hamburg.

Josiah Jordan, Berks Catholic: The junior guard scored a team-high 20 points in a 56-51 win at Exeter and played an all-around game in a 50-41 victory over Abington Heights, with 11 points, a game-high eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and a strong defensive performance.

Colin Payne, Exeter: The senior forward scored a team-high 15 points to spark a huge comeback in a 48-47 win over Berks Catholic and had a game-high 28 points in a loss to Berks Catholic.

Jake Karnish, Fleetwood: The junior guard had a game-high 21 points in a win over Kutztown and a team-high 19 points against Manheim Central.

Edwin Suarez, Muhlenberg: The junior center scored 63 points and grabbed 29 rebounds as the Muhls won two of their three games. He had nine rebounds, seven deflections and three steals in a win over Twin Valley, 27 points and 16 rebounds against Wilson and 23 points, five steals and three assists in a win over Solanco.

Ben Eddinger, Schuylkill Valley: The senior guard had 19 points and two steals in a 57-55 win over Conrad Weiser.

David Bednarczyk, Tulpehocken: The junior scored 54 points over three games, including 29 in a 50-48 loss at Antietam.

Kannon Zdimal, Twin Valley: The junior forward scored 17 points in loss to Muhlenberg and 20 in a win over Conrad Weiser.

Cameron Jones, Wilson: The junior guard scored a game-high 20 points in a loss to Exeter and had nine points, six rebounds and three assists in a 57-56 comeback win over Muhlenberg.
