Schuylkill Valley’s Logan Cammauf and Berks Catholic’s Faith Zudie have been named to the Pennsylvania Sportswriters Class 3A All-State football team.

Cammauf, a 6-2, 180-pound senior, is the first player in program history to earn back-to-back All-State nods. Last season he was one of three Panthers named to the team, the most ever for the program in a single season.

Prior to last season only three Schuylkill Valley players had earned first-team All-State status: Darin Tranquillo in 1998, Cody Minnich in 2004, and Dominic Giuffre in 2022.

Cammauf had a team-best 114 tackles, with 15 tackles for loss. He had two sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

He was named Linebacker of the Year in Section 5 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League.

Zudie, a 6-foot, 190-pound junior, made a huge impact in his first year as a starter to help the Saints win the Section 5 title and advance to the District 3 Class 3A championship game.

He led the team with 88 tackles, had 20 tackles for loss, batted down five passes, forced four fumbles and blocked three kicks.

Zudie was the top-rated defender on a defense that ranked No. 6 overall in the 37-team Lancaster-Lebanon League.

Luca Neal, who led Avonworth to a second straight PIAA title, was named Player of the Year and was joined by four teammates on the team. Avonworth’s Duke Johncour was named Coach of the Year.

Northwestern Lehigh, which fell to Avonworth in the title game, had six players named to the 42-player team, which was selected by sportswriters across the state.

The Class 5A team will be announced later today. The Class 1A team was announced earlier today.

Teams for Class 2A, 4A, and 6A will be announced Wednesday.
