Lower Merion forced to pull out of game vs. Reading High

Reading High’s game against Lower Merion has been postponed, due to a COVID situation at Lower Merion.

The teams were scheduled to play Thursday at Chase Fieldhouse as part of the Wilmington Play by Play Classic II, which includes six other games.

Lower Merion is off to a 3-1 start; the Red Knights are 5-0.

Jeremy Treatman, founder of Scholastic Play by Play Classics and organizer of the event, said the game will be rescheduled.

The Red Knight’s next game will be Monday, in the opening round of the Reading Holiday Tournament, against Pocono Mountain West.

The championship game is Tuesday at the Geigle.

Other games in Thursday’s showcase: Devon Prep vs. Academy New Church; Central Dauphin vs. Archbishop Ryan; Downingtown West vs. Chester; Imhotep Charter vs. Neumann Goretti; St. Benedict’s (N.J.) vs. Westtown; and Roman Catholic vs. Salesianum.
