10 Questions with Berks Catholic’s Caraline Herb, presented by the Weeber/Langdon Team of Merrill Lynch

MikeDragoSports.com goes one-on-one with a Berks basketball player to find out what’s on his or her mind — on the court and off.

Caraline Herb, Berks Catholic

Senior forward

Q: Do you have any superstitions for game day?

I eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before every game. As a team we always play “Dreams and Nightmares” in the locker room and say our pre-game chant for Anthony Myers.

Q: It’s in-vogue at the college level to design flashy uniforms. What would you do to your team’s uniform given the chance to re-design it?

I would put a sparkly halo on top of the number, everyone’s last name on the back of the jersey, and everyone would wear the same shoes.

Q: When are you more nervous: At the foul line in the final seconds of a close game or trying to finish a math exam with time running out?

At the foul line in the final seconds because games can be won or lost on free throws.

Q: If they made a movie about your team, which actor would play the part of Coach Birmingham?

Adam Sandler or Vin Diesel because of their resemblance.

Q: Which of your teammates would win an NBA All-Star style 3-point shooting contest?

I think that everyone on our team would be a threat to win, but Sydney Corado has been making a lot of 3’s this year.

Q: What’s the one basketball skill you’d like to add to your game?

Post moves.

Q: Which of your teammates makes you laugh the most at practice?

Molly (McFadden) and Madison (Langdon), because of their spontaneous one-liners.

Q: What percentage of people spell your Caraline incorrectly?

Seventy-five percent.

Q: If you could use a “lifeline” during a critical moment of a close game, who would you call for help or advice?

I would call my brother, Janssen. He sees the game from a different angle and tells me the brutal truth, even if I do not want to hear it.

Q: Where do you expect to be and what do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?

I expect to be starting my own business and traveling. I really like math, science, and animals, and would like to have a business that includes all of those aspects.
