The championship game everyone wanted to see was really an All-Star Game. It featured most of the All-Berks girls soccer team.
Nine of the 12 selections came from county champ Wilson and runner-up Wyomissing. That includes the three All-State selections: Wilson’s Natalee Vicari, who was voted Player of the Year by the coaches, teammate Elizabeth Estrada and Wyomissing’s Hannah Hurleman.
Vicari is the county’s leading scorer with 32 goals and is a two-time All-Berks pick. She scored the game-winning goals for Wilson in each of its first two District 3 playoff games.
Estrada was named All-State for the second consecutive season. The La Salle recruit plays forward and midfield and leads the league with 22 assists.
Hurleman leads Wyomissing with 30 goals, tied with Daniel Boone’s Anna Buckwalter for second in Berks, and 14 assists. The senior has 72 goals in her career.
Wilson’s other All-Berks picks were center back Kelsy Moschak and goalkeeper Alexis Solt. Those two anchor the Bulldogs’ defense. Both are first-time selections.
Wyomissing’s Izzy Marshall, Cadi Hoke, Sophia Zeppos and Sam Donahue were recognized. Marshall, who has 21 goals and 12 assists, Hoke, and Donahue are repeat selections. Zeppos is a freshman who has 18 goals.

Hoke, who has 8 goals and 8 assists, is the county’s best midfielder and is worthy of All-State recognition. Each league is limited to three selections and Berks had more qualified candidates than available spots.
Buckwalter, a sophomore who didn’t play high school until this year, burst on the scene with her 30 goals. She led Daniel Boone’s high-powered attack.
Fleetwood sisters Leilah and Ava Sallee were the other two All-Berks players. Leilah Sallee is a University of Delaware recruit who scored 25 goals, which ranked fourth in the league.
