Wilson’s Brad Hoffman selected for L-L All-Star game
Brad Hoffman, the first Wilson quarterback to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, has been selected to play in the annual Tri-County All-Star game, which features the top senior football players in the Lancaster-Lebanon League.
The game will be played May 27 at Manheim Central, starting at 7.
Hoffman rushed for 1,080 yards and passed for 846 yards in helping the Bulldogs win the Section 1 championship and play for the District 3 Class 6A championship. He is the only Wilson player selected for the game; others were considered but can’t participate due to other spring sports commitments.

Hoffman is one of three quarterbacks listed on the South roster, along with Berkeley Wagner of Lampeter-Strasburg and Robert Footman of Columbia. Wagner was named Outstanding Back in Section 3; Footman was named Outstanding Back in Section 4.
Other top players on the South roster include Cocalico’s Anthony Bourassa, the Outstanding Back in Section 2; Connor Smith of Solanco, the Outstanding Lineman in Section 2; and Cooper Eckert of Warwick, who shared Receiver of the Year honors in Section 2.
The South team will be coached by Matt Zamperini of Garden Spot.
The North squad will be led by Hempfield quarterback Cam Harbaugh, the Offensive Back of the Year in Section 1; Cedar Crest’s Aadyn Richards, Outstanding Back in Section 1; and Elco’s Coy Sky, the Outstanding Lineman in Section 4.
The North squad will be coached by Kris Miller of Ephrata.
Discussions have taken place to include Berks teams in the 2023 All-Star game. Thirteen Berks schools are set to join Wilson in the Lancaster-Lebanon League for the 2022 season.
