MOUNT JOY — For three quarters Friday night both the Conrad Weiser and Donegal defenses had few answers; they combined for just one stop through the first 10 possessions.
A couple of fourth-down stops in the fourth quarter — punctuated by Kaiden Leonard’s interception with under 20 seconds to play — secured Conrad Weiser’s 34-30 Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 victory.
It was the Scouts’ second win in three games after an 0-4 start.

Sevon Parham sparked Weiser with four touchdowns and 184 rushing yards on 28 carries.
Just before halftime, Donegal (0-4, 1-6) picked up a crucial touchdown as quarterback Brock Hammaker went 3-for-4 for 47 yards to key an 11-play, 74-yard drive.
DeAndre White (14 carries, 87 yards) and Tyler Sload combined for 37 yards on the ground before Hammaker found Sload sliding in the end zone for a 22-yard touchdown pass and White added a two-point run to cut the Scouts’ lead to 28-22 at halftime.
Donegal took its only lead on the opening possession of the third quarter, a nine-play, 76-yard drive that was sparked by White’s 30-yard run. A few plays later, White added two more runs for 9 yards to set up Sload for a 5-yard dash up the middle. Sload tacked on the two-point run for a 30-28 Donegal lead.
Conrad Weiser (2-2, 2-5) took the lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by Sevon Parham to cap a 13-play, 66-yard drive that ate up nearly seven minutes of the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Conrad Weiser got a pair of fourth-down stops on the Indians’ final two drives — including Leonard’s interception.
Parham and Sload matched each other with four touchdowns. Sload rushed for three touchdowns — including a 77-yard touchdown run in the first quarter — and caught another while racking up 168 yards of total offense.
