Week 8: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)

Week 7 provided major showdowns and toss-ups across the board, and the Fearless Forecasters paid the price. Five Forecasters hit the wall, missing five picks; three others missed four. No one did better than 12-2.
Week 8 appears to be a little more foregiving. The Forecasters are in complete agreement on nine of the 12 games, picking a clean sweep in each.
The only game with some sort of split opinion is Fleetwood’s visit to Elizabethtown; four Forecasters are picking against the Tigers. Three of those four reside in Lancaster County, so maybe they’re looking at things differently. Not gonna call them “homers,” but . . .
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers and photographers, along with Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, and Daryn Zeiner of Jerry Geleff Media will pick all the Berks games. We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a big prize!
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” on a Berks team and is correct he gets two points. Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a team only once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason).
Remember, don’t take it personally if we pick against your favorite team. And as David Letterman always urged: No wagering, please.
