Week 7: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)

The Hamburg Hawks are on a roll. They’ve won straight games and last week pulled the rug out from under the Fearless Forecasters. All 12 Forecasters picked the Hawks to lose at Lancaster Catholic; turns out it wasn’t even close. The Hawks delivered a knockout punch, to the Crusaders and — even more painfully — to the Forecasters.
We have repented this week: It’s a 12-0 mandate for the Hawks on their visit to Pequea Valley.
There’s a lot of that going around this week: Eight of the 13 games have the Forecasters in unison.
The jump ball of the week? That’ll be at Shirk Stadium, where Reading High hosts McCaskey. Much as we love the Red Knights the Forecasters (mostly) say its Tornado season, by an 8-4 margin.
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers, photographers, and contributors, along with Mike Gross and Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, will pick all the Berks games, along with other selected other Lancaster-Lebanon League games.
We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a (relatively) big prize!
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” on a Berks team and is correct he gets two points. Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a team only once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason)
