Week 11: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)

The opening week of the postseason sees six Berks teams in action. The two most interesting games, it turns out, are each Eastern Conference championship games, involving Muhlenberg and Hamburg.

The Muhls haven’t won a game in six weeks but half the Forecasters like their chances; the other half don’t.

Same goes for the Hawks: They’re a 50/50 pick on road against William Allen.

As for District 3 openers, most appear to be slam dunks: Exeter, Schuylkill Valley, Cedar Crest, and Cocalico are each 12-0 favorites by the Forecasters.

Then again, what do we know? We had Manheim Township and Gov. Mifflin each as 11-1 favorites; you saw how that turned out.

Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers, photographers, and contributors, along with Jeff Reinhart and Mike Gross of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, will pick all the Berks games, along with other selected other Lancaster-Lebanon League games.

We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a (relatively) big prize!

Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” on a Berks team and is correct he gets two points. Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a team only once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason)
