Week 12: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)

We’re down to the final weeks of the Forecasting season and leader Joe Mays has a fat two-game lead over the rest of the pack. For the 12th straight week Joe has picked Wilson to win; as producer of the weekly “Bulldog Hour” he’s contractually obligated to do so.

Plus, if he picked Harrisburg this week and the Bulldogs pulled the upset he would never hear the end of it from defensive coordinator Ernie Wolber (or the rest of the Wilson staff, for that matter).

There are several tough picks on the card this week. Twin Valley is a 7-6 favorite among our Forecasters to beat Milton Hershey; West Perry holds the same edge in its District 3 Class 3A semifinal against Lancaster Catholic.

Once again no one has picked against Exeter or Wyomissing. And why should they?

Each week throughout the season MikeDragoSports.com staff writers and photographers, along with Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, are picking the games. We’re keeping standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a big prize! (Big being a relative term.)

Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” and is correct he gets two points.

Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a given team only once during the postseason and (new rule here) it must be a Berks team. (That’ll make it a bit tougher going forward.)
