MOUNT JOY — There was plenty of green all over the field and throughout the stadium in Mount Joy on Friday, as green-clad Twin Valley came to do battle with Donegal on Homecoming weekend.
| Final | |
| Twin Valley | 49 |
| Donegal | 14 |
Unfortunately for the Indians, the only green being covered up and down the field belonged to the visiting Raiders, who ran around and through the Donegal defense en route to a 49-14 Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 win.
Twin Valley scored touchdowns on its first six possessions behind an unstoppable running game.
Despite committing four penalties on their first drive, the Raiders (4-0, 7-0) moved swiftly downfield behind the hard running of Drew Engle, who finished with 123 rushing yards.
Quarterback Maverik Foster found Chase Riley on a sprint pass in the right flat. Riley did the rest, avoiding tacklers and racing down the right sideline for a 39-yard touchdown.
On the next drive Foster did the damage with his legs on a creative play call. Foster initially handed the ball off, but eventually received the ball back on a pitch following a reverse and scampered down the left sideline for a 29-yard scoring run.
From there, Twin Valley poured it on with a long drive that culminated with Lucas Myers scoring from 2 yards out. The next two drives featured explosive plays, a 60-yard pass reception by Ben Grundy and a 33-yard run by Engle.
Myers finished off Twin Valley’s scoring with a 38-yard run down to the 1-yard line before plunging in for his second score, which made it 42-0 at the half.

Things got no better in the second half as Engle darted through a gaping hole for a 30-yard touchdown run to make the score 49-0 in the third quarter.
Donegal (1-3, 2-5) showed some fight late in the third quarter as Chase Marshall hit Angel Mendez for a 39-yard touchdown pass. Marshall then led another drive with some tough runs before Zac Bain finished it off with a 13-yard score.
Despite the lopsided score, Donegal’s Leelan Baughman played an awesome game, flying all over the field on defense, making tackles on play after play. He also ran hard on both kick returns and on offense, rushing eight times for 32 yards in the first half. He also executed a fake punt run for 60 yards that was nullified by penalty.
