The 2025 high school football season kicks off in eight weeks – 57 days, to be exact. Players and coaches are working hard daily to be ready.

So is the staff at MikeDragoSports.com – there’s no summer vacation when it come to our football coverage.

We’ve already begun our summer-long build up to the season-opener, with the introduction earlier this week of our Team of the Day feature. Berks Catholic was first up; Conrad Weiser is on deck, with each of the other 12 Berks teams to follow.

The Team of the Day feature provides a brief history of each Berks program, with a link to program records and year-by-year results.

There’s plenty more in store this summer. Here’s a brief breakdown:

Players To Watch: In a few weeks we’ll present the top players to watch in each of the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s five sections, with profiles of the top 12 players in each section and a list of the top 25-30 top players in each section.

League breakdown: In mid-July we’ll go section by section, providing an early glimpse at how the teams in each section of the Lancaster-Lebanon League break down, highlighting each team’s strengths and areas they’ll need to work on as the season nears.

Team photo days: We’ll visit practice at each Berks school in July and early August to take photos of all the top players and will present a photo gallery for each team.

Starting Lineup: Our annual preseason All-Berks team will include the 12 best players from Berks, with a profile and photo of each. We’ll also present the Berks Watch List, which will include the top 50-60 players in the county. Look for that in early August.

Team previews: Once official practice heats up in early August, we’ll provide an in-depth breakdown of each Berks team, detailing the top players they need to replace from last season, who’s ready to step up,  the team’s strength, and its chances for league and district honors.

Once the season kicks off, MikeDragoSports.com covers every team, every game, every week . . . no other media outlet in Berks County comes close to that kind of sideline-to-sideline coverage.
