State rankings: Berks Catholic moves up in Class 3A

With most of the top local teams idle last week after earning first-round playoff byes there was little movement in the PennLiv.com state rankings.
Twin Valley remained No. 1 and Wyomissing No. 6 in Class 4A. Berks Catholic moved up one spot in 3A to No. 8. This marks the Saints’ third straight week in the Top 10.
Wilson in 6A and Exeter in 5A maintained their spots as Teams To Watch. The Eagles will have a chance to jump back into the Top 10 with a win this week at Conestoga Valley, which is No. 9 in 5A.
Of note, St. Joseph’s Prep, which has won three straight PIAA Class 6A titles, dropped two spots to No. 7 after a season-ending 24-14 loss to La Salle College. The Hawks, who lost to La Salle 31-20 last month, end the season at 5-5.
