Wilson returns to the state rankings this week as a Team To Watch, giving Berks County five entries in the PennLive.com rankings.

The Bulldogs join ranked entries Exeter, Wyomissing, and Twin Valley, and Conrad Weiser, which is also a Team To Watch.

Wilson (3-1) bounced back from a 30-20 loss to unbeaten Nazareth with a 49-0 win over Reading High. Nazareth is also a Team To Watch in Class 6A though the Blue Eagles will be hard-pressed to stay unbeaten with star quarterback Peyton Falzone expected to miss significant time after being injured.

Exeter (4-0) remains at No. 5 in Class 5A after a 43-15 win over Gov. Mifflin.

Wyomissing (4-0) stays at No. 4 in 4A, two slots ahead of Twin Valley (4-0), which moved up two spots from No. 8 after a 60-0 rout of Elco.

Conrad Weiser (4-0) used a late comeback to beat Fleetwood and remain unbeaten. The Scouts made their 2025 debut in the rankings last week.

This is Wilson’s 345^th appearance in the state rankings, second-most of any Berks team; Wyomissing has appeared 366 times.

The most interesting team in the rankings is defending PIAA Class 6A champ St. Joseph’s Prep, which has yet to win a game. The Hawks fell to 0-3 last week with a 34-26 loss to St. Frances Academy of Baltimore yet still appear in the 6A at No. 6. The Hawks are playing a national schedule; they won’t meet a Pennsylvania team until Week 6 when they play Father Judge in their Catholic League opener.

Two other Lancaster-Lebanon League teams are listed in the rankings, both as Teams To Watch: Manheim Township (3-1) in 6A and Lampeter-Strasburg (3-1) in 4A.
