2025 Berks football coverage presented by

Utilities Employees Credit Union

After spending three weeks ranked No. 1 in the state last season Twin Valley is back on top.

The Raiders, who completed their first perfect regular season, jumped two spots to No. 1 in Class 4A in the PennLive.com state rankings. Southern Lehigh, ranked No. 1 in 4A for the last five week, took its first loss, falling to unbeaten Northwestern Lehigh 36-28.

Twin Valley is one of five Berks County teams in the rankings. Wyomissing is No. 6 in 4A. Berks Catholic is No. 9 in 3A. Wilson, in 6A, and Exeter, in 5A, are Teams To Watch. The Bulldogs had been ranked No. 9 before last week’s loss to Manheim Township.

The Raiders were not ranked in the preseason. They were listed as a Team To Watch after their 45-19 season-opening win over Berks Catholic and moved up to No. 10 after beating Selinsgrove 62-0 the following week. They have been in the Top 10 ever since.

They moved to No. 6 after opening 4-0 and jumped to No. 3 after beating Wyomissing in a Week 7 battle of unbeatens.

Unbeaten Conestoga Valley, at No. 9 in 5A, is the only other ranked Lancaster-Lebanon League team. Solanco, in 5A, is listed as a Team To Watch.
