State rankings: Exeter still flying under the radar as rematch vs. Conestoga Valley looms

Fourteen teams will compete in a District 3 semifinal or championship game this weekend; 12 are included in the PennLive.com state rankings.
Exeter is not.
The Eagles have just one stain on their record, a controversial 28-27 loss to Conestoga Valley. They’ll have a chance to correct that Friday when they hit the road to play the Buckskins, who are ranked No. 9 in Class 5A.
Exeter appeared in the rankings for much of the season as a Team To Watch in 5A but was knocked out after that Week 9 loss in Reiffton.
Meanwhile, Wilson and Wyomissing maintained lofty spots in Class 6A and 4A, respectively, after quarterfinal victories. Twin Valley remains a Team To Watch in 4A ahead of its rematch against Lampeter-Strasburg, ranked No. 3.
Elsewhere, two No. 1 teams were knocked off. La Salle College fell to second-ranked St. Joseph’s Prep in 6A in the Catholic League championship game. Chester lost to No. 4 West Chester Rustin 45-16 in a District 1 Class 5A quarterfinal.
