Twin Valley’s Ean Winchester named Section 3 Defensive Lineman of the Year

Two-way stalwart Ean Winchester of Twin Valley was named Defensive Lineman of the Year and teammate Lucas Myers earned a rare honor in Section 3 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League, it was announced tonight at the annual coach’s banquet in Mount Gretna.
Winchester, a senior, was a two-way pick, at tight end and interior line, and among seven first-team picks for the Raiders.
Ephrata had the most first-team picks with 10; Garden Spot had eight. Twin Valley tied for first place with the Mountaineers and Spartans in Section 2, each at 6-1.
Myers, an inside linebacker, is the lone freshman among the 33 first-team picks. There are just two sophomores: Twin Valley running back Drew Engle and Ephrata defensive end Jackson Nolt.
Fleetwood had three first-team picks and Daniel Boone one.
The Raiders’ other first-team selections: Senior guard Paul McClune, senior defensive end Kyle Kline and senior long snapper Noah Roehm.
Fleetwood is represented on the first team by senior running back Czion Brickle, senior wide receiver Mason Musitano and senior placekicker William Maurek.
Senior outside linebacker Ethan Kryman is the Blazers’ lone pick.
Ephrata’s Jeremiah Knowles, a wide receiver and defensive back, is the lone two-way repeat pick.
The teams are selected in a vote of Section 3 coaches.
