Annville-Cleona dominated the ball and ran all over the field on their way to a 42-10 Lancaster-Lebanon Section 5 upset of Schuylkill Valley Friday night at Leesport.
The Homecoming loss ended Schuylkill Valley’s (5-1, 6-3) six game winning streak. The Panthers can still tie for the Section 5 championship with a win next week over unbeaten Lancaster Catholic.
The Dutchmen (4-2, 6-3) scored on their first possession, building an early lead that they held throughout.
Phoenix Music scored his first touchdown on a 30-yard run. Music was one of three Dutchmen to find the end zone. They also got scores from Cael Harter and Alex Long. All six touchdowns came on the ground.
Music ran for a game-high 195 yards on 28 carries and scored four touchdowns.
Harter also had a strong game carrying the ball, finishing with 88 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Annville-Cleona controlled the game and time of possession, scoring on long drives and keeping the ball away from Schuylkill Valley running back Dom Giuffre.
Giuffre was held in check most of the game, finishing with 62 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts. He also caught one pass for 17 yards.
