Senior Christian Cacchione rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns as Berks Catholic built a big lead on the way to a 39-29 non-league win at Chichester Friday night.
The Saints (2-1) led 39-7 in the third quarter after Josiah Jordan’s 5-yard TD run and were never threatened.
Cacchione scored on runs of 15, 30 and 14 yards, the last, just before halftime, giving Berks Catholic a 25-7 lead.

Jordan’s 55-yard return of an interception in the third quarter pushed the lead to 32-7.
Cacchione and Jordan have each scored seven TDs this season; Cacchione leads the team with 355 rushing yards.
Fullback Luke Hughes rushed for 68 yards on 13 carries, including a 4-yard TD run in the second quarter.
Berks Catholic was out-gained 280-264 in total yards.
Trace Brown led the Saints with 10 tackles.
The Eagles (1-1) ended the game with 22 unanswered points, including a pair of TD passes from Idrees Holloman. They converted 5-of-6 fourth-down opportunities.
The Saints have another big challenge against a District 1 team next week when they host Pope John Paul II. The Golden Panthers (2-1) fell to Chestnut Hill Academy 32-27 Friday after opening with convincing wins over Archbishop Carroll and New Hope Solebury.
The Saints play Malvern Prep in Week 5 before opening Berks Football League Section 1 play Oct. 1 at Daniel Boone.
