presented by UECU

The 2024 season kicks off in four days.
Every team has holes to plug after graduation losses, transfers and injuries.
Here’s a breakdown of the teams in Section 2 of the Lancaster Lebanon League and how they might finish.
| Team | 2023 | Outlook | Opener | ||||
| 1 | Exeter | 8-3 | With the return of QB Riley Martinez, All-State play-maker Jayden Zandier, and a bunch of skills people ready to bust out Eagles should take a step up. Looking for second title in three years. | @ Daniel Boone | |||
| 2 | Conestoga Valley | 9-3 | With 5 all-league picks and 14 starters back, including dynamic RB Jayden Johnson, Bucks will challenge for title. Beat Exeter late last season. | Penn Manor | |||
| 3 | Ephrata* | 12-2 | Replacing QB Sam McCracken will be a chore but Mounts have lots of momentum coming off best season in program history. And they’ve got RB Brayden Brown running behind a veteran O-Line. | @ Red Lion | |||
| 4 | Gov. Mifflin | 5-6 | Mustangs have more starters back than any team in the section, lots of experience on the front line and a fullback in Grady Garner who fits perfectly with the offense. | Pleasant Valley | |||
| 5 | Elizabethtown | 2-8 | Bears are the only team in the section without a single returning all-league pick. That doesn’t bode well coming off a down season. Played in Section 3 last year. | @ Cocalico | |||
| 6 | Muhlenberg | 1-9 | It’s a rebuilding year for the Muhls with the return of former star QB Rob Flowers as their head coach. Need to make up lots of ground on the section leaders. | Schuylkill Valley | |||
| 7 | Lebanon | 0-10 | The Cedars have fallen and can’t get up. Open with 32-game losing streaking hanging over their heads. They’re starting over again with a new head coach. | @ Palmyra |
Note: 2023 Section 2 champ Manheim Central now playing in Section 3.
