Perkiomen Valley rushes past Mustangs

COLLEGEVILLE — Perkiomen Valley’s rushing attack found the end zone four times Friday night against Gov. Mifflin at Thomas J. Keenan Stadium leading the Vikings to a 31-14 non-league victory for their first win of the season.
Grady Garner was the focal point on the Mustangs’ offense for the second straight week. His 147 yards from scrimmage weren’t enough as the Mustangs fell to 1-1.
Javien Pletz threw an interception on the Mustangs’ opening drive of the game, setting up the Vikings’ first score. Pletz was unable to get things going as he completed just four passes on 14 attempts.
Vikings quarterback Patrick MacDonald threw for 130.
The Mustangs will look to bounce back against Hempfield Friday night. Perkiomen Valley will take on Downingtown West.
