Record-setting running back Cameron Small of Muhlenberg and two-time All-State linebacker Logan Cammauf of Schuylkill Valley highlight the Berks/Lebanon roster for the 24th annual Tri-County All-Star Game May 22.

The Berks/Lebanon roster is bolstered by six All-State picks: Exeter’s Joel Ummarino and Jayden Ware, Twin Valley’s Ryan Rementer, Annville-Cleona’s Hudson Sellers, Small and Cammauf.

Kickoff against the Lancaster County senior all-stars is set for 7 at Manheim Central’s Rettew Stadium.

Logan Cammauf

The Berks/Lebanon roster includes players from 12 Berks County teams and six Lebanon County teams.

Governor Mifflin, Hamburg and Kutztown are not represented on the roster; Mifflin has graduation scheduled for that night.

Exeter has the most players participating, with five; Conrad Weiser and Muhlenberg each have four.

Weiser’s Alan Moyer will coach the Berks/Lebanon squad; Lampeter-Strasburg’s Victor Ridenour will coach the Lancaster stars.

After being shut out in the first two meetings under the current format, the Berks/Lebanon squad gave a strong showing last year, when Exeter’s Carter Redding had six receptions for 170 yards in a wild shootout, won by Lancaster 49-39.

Joel Ummarino

The Berks/Lebanon squad looks particularly strong on the offensive line, which will anchored by Ummarino, who was the top lineman in Section 2 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section, earning Offensive Lineman and Defensive Lineman of the Year honors.

He’ll be surrounded by first-team all-league picks Andre Osborne of Exeter, Avery Manara and Jesse Etchberger of Wilson, and Anthony Zatorski and Palmer Reber of Section 5 champ Berks Catholic.

Wilson’s Mason Young, who threw for 2,199 yards and 26 touchdowns – each figure second-most in the league – will play quarterback along with Bryan Mitzel of Northern Lebanon.

Ryan Rementer

Top targets include Muhlenberg’s Michael Miller Jr. and Freddy Lacey, and Ware.

Small, who rushed for 1,766 yards and 25 TDs, will share backfield time with all-league pick Javien Rivera of Conrad Weiser, Hayden Moyer of Daniel Boone and Danny Fleischood of Wyomissing.

Cammauf, the Section 5 Linebacker of the Year, will anchor the defense, along with Sellers – the Section 5 Defensive Lineman of the Year – Cedar Crest’s Landyn Kline – the Section 1 Linebacker of the Year – and Ware, the Section 2 Defensive Back of the Year.

A number of top Berks players are not available to play in the game due to spring sports, injuries, or other commitments.

Danny Fleischood

The Berks/Lebanon team is without Twin Valley All-State picks Drew Engle, Grayson Miller, and Ben Grundy, each of whom plays a spring sport; Exeter’s All-State tailback Leo Brown; and Wilson All-State defensive back Jaiden Carpenter.

Rementer and center Noah Giacomo are the lone selections from Twin Valley, which played for the PIAA Class 4A championship last season.

Two-way all-league picks Andrew Bresnahan of Wyomissing, Correll Akings of Wilson, and Mason Sherry of Kutztown are also unavailable for the game.

Several of Berks’ top players last season were underclassmen, such as All-State picks Michael Glover, Justice Hardy, and Faith Zudie, and thus are ineligible to play in the game.

A shorthanded Berks/Lebanon team was overwhelmed in 2024, yielding long touchdown strikes on the first two possessions of the game en route to a 35-0 loss.

In 2023 the game was stopped at halftime due to a medical emergency in the stands; Lancaster was leading 14-0 when the game was suspended.
