MikeDragoSports.com set to unveil 2024 “Starting Lineup”

The names in this exclusive club are impressive.

Michal Menet and Issac Lutz were on the first list. Brandon George and Jerry Kapp followed shortly thereafter.

In the following years Cooper Lutz, Iggy Reynoso, Cam’Ron Stewart, Issac Ruoss, Luke Painton, Nick Singleton, Jven Williams, Cam Jones, Max Hurleman, and Joey Schlaffer added their names.

Berks football has produced some outstanding players over the last decade, sending numerous players on to major college football programs and some to the professional ranks.

There’s more outstanding talent ready to take the field this season, with the Berks Class of 2025 featuring several Division I recruits and another superb group of talent that includes top-shelf juniors and sophomores.

To recognize the top players in Berks football MikeDragoSports.com has selected the “Starting Lineup,” a preseason All-Berks team which includes the top quarterbacks, linemen, running backs, receivers, linebackers and defensive backs.

This is the 10th anniversary season of Mike Drago’s “Starting Lineup,” which debuted in 2015.

Last year’s list was highlighted by Wyomissing teammates Caleb Brewer and Ryker Jones, who will play at Penn State and Princeton, respectively, this season.

Players were selected based on their expected performance this season and their college potential. Two-way players were given special consideration. The team will be a mix of linemen and backs, offensive and defensive players.

One player will be introduced each day over the next two weeks, beginning Saturday.

Evaluations were provided by college coaches who have reviewed player game highlights.

After the “Starting Lineup” has been announced MikeDragoSports.com will present the “Berks Watch List,” which will include 50 or more other top players to watch this season.
