Logan Klitsch accounted for 323 yards and five touchdowns for Conrad Weiser in a 52-21 Berks Football League Section 2 victory over Schuylkill Valley Friday in Robesonia.
Klitsch’s lofty numbers weren’t of importance to him as he diverted all of the praise to his teammates, especially the offensive line, wide receiver Aanjay Feliciano and sophomore running back Sevon Parham.
The offensive line allowed zero sacks, earning them some baked goods from Klitsch, and blocked for a set of runners who garnered a collective 326 yards.
“The goal is to try and not get sacked,” Klitsch said. “Every week we have a new goal. Usually if I don’t get sacked after a win, I make my lineman a whole bunch of goodies and cupcakes.
“Not all 11 guys can make a play every down,” Klitsch said. “We miss a block here and there. I miss a throw here and there. If they miss a block, I’m going to run my butt off so they can get their cupcakes after the game.”
It’s hard to sack the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Dartmouth commit and next to impossible when the offensive line plays well. When it looks like the pocket is collapsing, Klitsch is 20 yards downfield in the blink of an eye. He rushed 10 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns.
Give Klitsch time in a clean pocket and he’ll pick you apart through the air. With a weapon like Feliciano lined out wide, that threat becomes even more lethal. Klitsch threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns; Feliciano snagged seven passes for 113 yards and touchdowns of 53 and 28 yards.

“He’s a stud,” Klitsch said of Feliciano. “I get asked this question a lot and I can never really find the right word because I could use every word in the book to describe him. He’s a very unselfish player. We went through pregame meetings after school and he was willing to do whatever to get other guys open. He said if you’re going to send me deep and I’m doubled, find someone underneath.”
Klitsch found Trey Dianna for a 19-yard score on the Scouts’ first drive of the game. The 53-yard touchdown to Feliciano and a Klitsch 1-yard plunge gave Conrad Weiser (2-1, 4-2) a 21-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The 28-yard touchdown to Feliciano made it 31-14 with 6:22 left in the third quarter.
The next drive for Conrad Weiser was a coming-out party for Parham. The back had runs of 52, 16, 10, and 1 yards; the last one resulted in a touchdown. Parham had 79 of the 81 yards on the drive and the Scouts took a 38-14 lead with less than a minute left in the third.
“Sevon had a couple breakout runs and he was dancing in the huddle before he even scored,” Klitsch said with a laugh. “I had to kind of remind him, since he’s a youngin’, that we aren’t in the end zone yet. He ended up scoring the touchdown and I let him do a little dance over here (on the sideline).”
Parham finished with five carries for 97 yards and the score.
Klitsch sealed the game with a 61-yard touchdown run with 6:40 left before Cameron Jones had a 30-yard Pick Six that made it 52-14.
Drew Campbell threw for 138 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 111 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers (1-1, 2-4).
Conrad Weiser was coming off a heartbreaking 37-34 overtime loss to Twin Valley.
“We weren’t mentally ready to play last week,” Klitsch said. “We didn’t have a good week of practice. We had to bounce back and put it past us. We had a good week of practice this week. You can just feel how the outcome of a game is going to be based on the practice week.”
Klitsch said he heard the news of fellow Berks 2 opponent Wyomissing defeating powerhouse Southern Columbia earlier in the evening. Twin Valley, which is also 2-0 in the league, plays Fleetwood Saturday. Klitsch and the Scouts aren’t getting too ahead of themselves.
“Our end goal is to try and split a section championship at the end of the year,” Klitsch said. “But we are taking it one week at a time. We aren’t looking too far ahead. We’re going to enjoy this one tonight and tomorrow’s a brand new day. The sun’s going to come up in the morning and we have to go from there and keep winning.”
